Love roots us in fertilized soil

I can love you, without your participation. Love may be given, whether it is received or not. But a connection requires two participants. A single link does not make a chain. Love is best as part of a connection, or a network, of loving people – each loving the others. That is where love strengthens and grows – when that connection exists, when the bond strengthens each end of the connection. Love is best where love roots each participant in fertilized soil, that nurtures not only the love but those doing the loving.
